LIMEDROP INTERVIEW: Kristoffer Paulsen July 07 2014

Today, Limedrop had the pleasure of speaking with the charismatic photographer, Kristoffer PaulsenQ&A with Kristoffer Paulsen. Who you are? What do you do/ believe in? I'm Kristoffer. I do a lot of things. I'm very lucky to be able to say that for work I'm professional photographer. I do my share of bill paying jobs, but for the most part, my work is my hobby. My other hobby is guitars and making loud noises. I just bought a new guitar tonight. It looks like it's been owned by someone who plays hard. I like that. It's red and has a matching red headstock. Just like that bloke from the Drones. What your top two tips in capturing a moment?I hate people that go on holidays or whatever and spend their whole time walking around with pro level cameras taking photos the whole time. I believe in being in the moment. If you're in the moment, then the moment will give itself to you. If you're always trying to "take" photos, then you'll miss the experience. If you just live, then you'll have rich experiences, and then moments will just happen, and if you want to take a photo, then chances are it'll happen naturally. I'm not the kinda guy that takes his camera everywhere. I'm either in photo mode, or I'm not. I find it hard to just have a camera in my bag and remember to get it out. It's either on or it's off. It's not really a passive brain thing. What is something that you never thought would be possible that is now possible? Three years ago I never would have thought I'd be able to make a living off photography. I thought I was heading towards being a tour manager/sound guy for the rest of my life. (And it depressed the shit out of me). I feel perpetually grateful.
